Keep pushing through

So, these past couple of weeks have been interesting.  I kind of slacked off a little there for a while and wasn't working out really at all. But this past Monday, I renewed my membership to The Gym. Couldn't pass up a deal for $9 a month.  So this week I did Zumba on Tuesday, Thursday and today.  I also did Body Combat on Wednesday!  I am excited to start working out a lot more and really pumped about being able to do Zumba again!  It's amazing how much more I push myself with I'm in the class, than when I'm in my living room!

My weight has reflected my slacking these past few weeks and I haven't hit a 10 lb weight loss yet, but I am so close and am looking forward to this next week and the changes that are happening in my body. I can't wait until my clothes start feeling too big! That is going to be a major turning point for me... This IS going to happen!!! Maybe just not as fast as I want it to. :)

Valentine's goal

Okay, so... my goal is to lose 10 lbs. by Valentine's day.  Which is a whole 2 days away. But the good news is I have lost 9 lbs exactly already! Even with being in Dallas all weekend and not eating so well at all (Cheesecake Factory, enough said), I still managed to lose weight! The weight is coming off pretty slowly, but considering I'm not working out consistently, I'm okay with that! 9 lbs. so far and I am hoping to be able to hit the 10 lb. mark by Tuesday!!!

Feb. 1

So, I've been doing this dieting/exercise thing for almost a month... I think I officially started on January 7th.  As of last Friday, I have lost 7 lbs.  Not terrible, not awesome either, but I am excited about the changes I'm making.  But today marked a kind of milestone for me.  I noticed looking into the mirror this morning that my face is starting to look thinner! My face is usually the place I see weight loss first. And I was kind of getting discouraged, having been almost a month and feeling like I wasn't seeing a difference.  Consider this a bonus motivation to keep going!

I was watching The Biggest Loser last night and Bob gave a trainer tip that I thought was great.  He was talking about how to get started working out and if you should be as intense as the people on the show or if you should start out slow.  He said that if you push yourself too hard at first, you could get injuries that would further slow down your progress.  Then he suggested started with walking a mile a day for a week. Next you will keep doing that same mile but try to get faster each time you do it.  Then once you are happy with your time start adding miles and before you know it the pounds will be falling off.  I think I'm going to try this.  Not sure if I will get it done every day, but I'm sure gonna try!

Oh and my goal is to lose 10 lbs by Valentine's day.  Only 3 lbs to go in 2 weeks! I think I can do it!!!
